Career Services

As a UCC student you have access to information, support and guidance from the team of Careers Advisors throughout your time at UCC.

Background

Who works there?

There is a large team of staff with different roles within the Careers Service, including career advisors and work placement managers.

There are two advisors who work specifically with students registered with the Disability Support Service and they are:

They meet students for one-to-one careers appointments where they support students with queries related to:

  • career options
  • CVs
  • interviews
  • postgraduate study
  • job applications
  • disclosure
  • and other relevant topics

Both Shay and Brenda are also Careers Advisors in the Careers Service and can be accessed for an appointment through either office.

How could this affect me?

Why would I need to use this service?

There are many reasons that you might meet a Careers Advisor including:

  • finding out how to get work experience while you study
  • career planning
  • options with your degree
  • options for further study

What to do next?

When you are ready, make an appointment to meet a Careers Advisor to talk about your options.
